The first season of Paradise was full of surprises, blending a murder mystery with science fiction and political intrigue.

Season 2 really threw me for a loop with a bunch of new mysteries! The first episode dropped us right into Annie and Link’s story, which was awesome. Then, episode 2 shifted gears to focus on Xavier Collin, and by episode 3, we were checking in on what Sinatra was up to. It felt like a lot of different threads were being set up!

The fourth episode explored two different beginnings, and the fifth focused on the story of Teri and Gary. We discovered a shocking truth about Jane in Episode 6, and Episode 7 revealed the origins – and possible end – of the bunker. Here are all the details for Episode 8, which concludes Season 2.

What happened in Episode 7?

In Paradise Season 2, Episode 7, viewers saw Cal and Sinatra exploring the bunker in a flashback, while in the present day, Sinatra had a meeting with Link. Meanwhile, Xavier and Teri successfully rescued Bean from Gary.

In the episode ‘The Final Countdown,’ Cal explores the bunker for the first time while singing the famous 1980s song of the same name. He immediately starts asking important questions about safety measures, including what could happen if there’s a fire, the air supply runs out, or someone tries to break in.

Xavier and Teri are happily reunited in this episode and have a lot to talk about. However, before they can catch up, they need to get out of town with Bean, and Gary is determined to stop them.

Xavier initially intended to harm Gary, but Teri tried to talk him out of it. She explained why Bean would be better cared for by them and encouraged Gary to make a fresh start. Xavier eventually agreed, and everyone left safely.

The episode’s biggest scene involves Sinatra confronting Link aboard Air Force One. After a tense conversation, Sinatra surprisingly asks for a nuclear reactor, before revealing they’re actually searching for someone named ‘Alex’.

The conversation reaches a standstill, but just as Link is about to leave, Sinatra overhears someone call him Dylan – a name that makes her suspect he might be her deceased son. When Link then reveals his birthday is May 16th, she becomes certain, and her behavior shifts completely.

The episode concludes with a shocking turn: Jane attempts to kill Gaby, but Gaby manages to defend herself and kill Jane instead. Meanwhile, Jeremy and Robinson work together to break down the doors, inadvertently causing a chain reaction. This triggers the bunker’s systems to fail, just as Cal predicted, leaving everything on a cliffhanger for the season finale.
