Honkai Star Rail boss leak has players scared ahead of 2.5 update debut

As a seasoned Honkai Star Rail player with countless hours spent navigating the cosmos and defeating formidable foes, I must admit that the impending arrival of Hoolay has sent chills down my spine. Having faced Sam and Aventurine, I’ve come to expect a certain level of challenge from the game’s developers, but Hoolay appears to be a whole new beast altogether.

Leaked information suggests that a new boss character named Hoolay will debut in version 2.5 of Honkai Star Rail, leaving players apprehensive and concerned.

In Honkai Star Rail, the creators don’t hold back when designing boss battles, as evidenced by challenging characters such as Sam and Aventurine. Rest assured, they aren’t shy about making them difficult, but with the right tactical approach, you can conquer each of these formidable foes.

In the upcoming update, developers are ramping up the challenge with the revelation of a formidable boss from version 2.5 – Hoolay. This new adversary has been causing quite a stir among players due to its terrifying presence. Notably, in a state known as Moon Rage, Hoolay can achieve an impressive maximum speed of 380 SPD on the 12th floor of Memory of Chaos.

In the context of games like Honkai Star Rail, Speed (SPD) is the stat that accelerates the pace at which players can take their turns. Given that it’s a turn-based game, having swift turns provides an advantage when battling against bosses. However, beware! Bosses too possess SPD, and if you make a misstep during your turn, they could retaliate with devastating consequences for your team.

Holley stands out due to rumors that her commander might call in Wolf Troopers. Each of these troops boosts the boss’ Speed by 5%. After any enemy attacks six times, a condition called “Moon Rage” kicks in. During this phase, the boss gains an immense Speed of 380, causing it to take an infinite number of turns until your entire team is wiped out.

Anxious gamers voiced their worries on the Honkai Star Rail leak subreddit. One gamer humorously suggested, “now it seems like the bosses are attempting to defeat us without any attempts.” Another player cautioned that this boss will “leave everyone bruised during its Rage mode.”

Currently, it’s challenging to determine the best approach against our boss, but having characters with high Speed (SPD) is crucial for success. Characters who counter-attack when struck by enemies, such as Yunli, Blade, or Clara, will prove particularly effective due to their ability to retaliate after being hit.
