What do we see in the Dune Part 3 trailer?
The trailer for Dune 3 shows Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, now the Padishah Emperor, continuing the story from Dune: Part 2. Zendaya will reprise her role as Chani, alongside returning cast members Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, and Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica.
The cast also includes Robert Pattinson as Scytale, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke as Ghanima Atreides.
Published in 1969, Dune Messiah picks up the story of Paul Atreides, widely known and feared as Muad’Dib. Now Emperor of the universe, Paul holds immense power and is revered as a god by the Fremen. However, he faces opposition from the political families he overthrew, as well as a secret plot brewing within his own inner circle. As House Atreides begins to fall apart due to his enemies’ schemes, the greatest danger to Paul emerges and threatens his lover, Chani, and their future child.
Dune: Part Three is planned to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, but that’s also the same day as the release of Avengers: Doomsday. It’s unclear if both movies will actually come out on that date.
