Mormon Wives Pauses Filming Amid Taylor Frankie Paul Domestic-Violence Dispute

Filming for the fifth season of Hulu’s popular show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, has been temporarily put on hold. According to a source who spoke with People magazine, the pause is due to serious issues surrounding Taylor Frankie Paul’s past. They’re waiting to see how things unfold before continuing. While neither Hulu nor Paul has officially commented, reports suggest the problem centers on Paul’s relationship with her former partner, Dakota Mortensen. Police in Draper City have confirmed they are investigating allegations of domestic assault made by both individuals, and have been involved since late February. Another source with the show told People that the other cast members don’t want to be connected to the situation, which is easier for Whitney Leavitt, who is currently performing in Chicago on Broadway and lives far from Utah.

Look, I’ve been following this story, and it’s not the first time Paul’s been in trouble with the law regarding domestic issues. Apparently, back in 2023, she was arrested for allegedly throwing a chair at Viggo Mortensen, and it actually hit their daughter. CBS News reported she faced some serious felony charges – two for domestic violence with a child present and one for aggravated assault. But later, when she was on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she claimed all those charges were dropped.

Despite production being temporarily halted on Sister Wives, Paul is preparing to appear on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, which premieres March 22nd. ABC hasn’t indicated any plans to delay the show’s airing. He was also recently seen at the Oscars, and continues to live a very public, complicated life.
