2026’s WandaVision Sequel Gets Disney+ Release Update

A new rumor suggests we have a better idea of when Disney+’s sequel to *WandaVision* will arrive. *WandaVision* was the first Marvel show on Disney+, and it’s getting follow-ups, including the 2024 series *Agatha All Along* and the currently untitled *Vision Quest* series. *Vision Quest* is one of the many Marvel projects planned for release in 2026.

Although Marvel Studios hasn’t announced a release date for *Vision Quest*, a new report suggests when we might see it. According to Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, *Vision Quest* is likely to come out between Marvel’s two big 2026 movies, *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* and *Avengers: Doomsday*.

The next *Spider-Man* movie is planned to come out on July 31, 2026, and *Avengers 5* is set for December 18, 2026. Considering these dates, we can expect *Vision Quest* to be released sometime between August and November 2026.

As a big Marvel fan, I’m hearing that early next year will probably be when we get Season 2 of *Daredevil: Born Again*. The first season is already set to come out in March 2025, so that makes sense. And looking a little further ahead to 2026, it sounds like we’ll also get another season of the animated *Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man* – maybe even in the first half of the year! I’m already excited for both of these.

We’re likely to hear more about Marvel’s upcoming TV shows at New York Comic-Con this October, but for now, it looks like *Vision Quest* will probably be released sometime in mid-to-late 2026.

Terry Matalas, known for his work on *Star Trek: Picard*, is leading the new series *Vision Quest*. Paul Bettany will return as Vision, picking up the story of the character’s re-animated form (White Vision) from the end of *WandaVision*. The show will center around Vision’s journey to rediscover who he is.

How Will Vision Quest Fit Into the MCU?

The planned late-2026 release of *Vision Quest* fits well with Marvel’s overall strategy. It provides a significant TV event during the latter part of the year, nicely bridging the gap between *Spider-Man 4* and *Avengers 5*.

The recent events in *Vision Quest* could have larger consequences for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Vision’s death in *Avengers: Infinity War* – caused by Thanos’s search for the Infinity Stones – deeply affected Wanda and directly led to the storylines in *WandaVision* and *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness*.

The upcoming *Vision Quest* storyline will reveal if Vision can be fully restored after his experiences with SWORD, or if he’ll be permanently changed. If he *is* restored to his previous self, it could lead to a reunion with the Avengers and potentially a part in future events like *Avengers: Doomsday* or *Avengers: Secret Wars*.

The upcoming series, *Vision Quest*, is predicted to heavily feature Tommy Maximoff, Vision and Wanda’s son (reportedly played by Ruaridh Mollica), much like *Agatha All Along* focused on the story of Billy Maximoff. If Tommy and Billy are brought together, it could pave the way for the long-anticipated Young Avengers team to finally form.

Ultimately, *Vision Quest* is a significant series for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it’s expected to be a major event that Marvel fans won’t want to miss when it arrives in 2026.
