As a huge movie fan, I’ve noticed Jamie Campbell Bower has been in everything – from Twilight and Harry Potter to Stranger Things, and now he’s joining The Lord of the Rings universe! He recently shared that while he’s open to revisiting roles, there’s one thing that would have to happen first before he’d even consider a return.
Bower talked about what it would take for him to come back, saying it would have to be completely focused on Caius. He admitted it wasn’t the story anyone hoped for, but felt everyone involved deserved to see it told.
Jamie Campbell Bower Dominated Multiple Major Franchises
After performing on stage for almost ten years, Bower first appeared in a feature film as Anthony Hope. He then gained wider recognition as Caius, a member of the Volturi, in the 2009 film The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Bower continued to play Caius in the next two Twilight Saga films, Breaking Dawn – Part One and Part Two, which concluded the popular vampire series.
Jamie Bower is known for playing young Gellert Grindelwald in both Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. He also starred as Jace Wayland in the 2013 film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which was based on Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments series – a series that originally began as Harry Potter fanfiction.
Jamie Campbell Bower is now most famous for his role in Stranger Things. In Season 4, he played Henry Creel, the very first person experimented on in Doctor Brenner’s lab. Creel later committed a horrific series of murders before Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, trapped him in the Upside Down.
Jamie Bower’s performance as Vecna was highly praised by both critics and viewers, quickly making the character a popular part of Stranger Things in its later seasons. His work on the show earned him several prestigious award nominations, including recognition as Best Villain at the 2023 Critics’ Choice Super Awards and MTV Movie & TV Awards.
What’s Next for Stranger Things and Twilight Star Jamie Campbell Bower?
Actor Luke Bower is returning to both movies and television with two significant projects. On the big screen, he’ll play Ed Becker in the film True Haunting. The movie is based on Becker’s 2011 book of the same name, which details what happened after his family was featured in a 1971 NBC television segment—the first-ever televised exorcism—that allegedly intensified their experiences with the supernatural.
Bower will have a significant role in the upcoming series. While details about the character are being kept secret, it’s been confirmed that Bower is a series regular credited as “Arlen.” This has led many fans to believe Bower will play Celeborn, Galadriel’s husband, though the actor hasn’t officially confirmed this.
