As a huge Star Wars fan, I’m seriously excited about Star Wars Outlaws! We at Ebaster are calling it a stunning look at the criminal underworld, and it’s the first ever open-world game set in the Star Wars galaxy. It takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and you play as Kay Vess, a young scoundrel trying to pull off a massive heist. She needs to gather a crew and escape a dangerous crime syndicate that’s been controlling her – hopefully, she can actually do it!
I was really excited for Star Wars Outlaws, and thankfully most people and critics seemed to enjoy it too! It’s a bit of a bummer to hear that it didn’t sell as many copies as Ubisoft was hoping for, but the good news is they and Massive Entertainment aren’t giving up on it, which is awesome!
Did You Know Star Wars Outlaws Has A Free Trial?
It’s no surprise if you’re unsure about trying Star Wars Outlaws with so many mixed opinions and uncertain sales. But if you enjoy open-world adventure games, or if you’re a Star Wars enthusiast, it’s absolutely worth checking out—and you can even try it for free! Ubisoft is offering a free demo on their website, letting you experience a preview of the complete game.
A free demo of Star Wars Outlaws is available now on PC through Ubisoft Connect, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It lets you explore the famous planet Tatooine with your companion, Nix, and search for a mercenary to help you on your journey. You’ll have up to three hours to play, giving you plenty of time to try out the open-world gameplay and see if the game is a good fit for you. During the demo, you can also complete contracts and engage in space battles. Just keep in mind that any progress you make won’t transfer over to the full game.
Star Wars Fans Shouldn’t Miss This Underrated Game
While Star Wars Outlaws might not be a perfect game, it’s a surprisingly good open-world adventure. It’s designed to appeal to both longtime Star Wars fans and newcomers, offering a full experience with a main story, side missions, and plenty to explore. The game also features a strong cast of characters brought to life by talented writers and voice actors. If you’re on the fence, the Star Wars Outlaws demo is a great way to try it out – you really have nothing to lose!
