As a huge Peaky Blinders fan, I was so excited to hear about ‘The Immortal Man’ and, of course, how to get the Shelby look! But honestly, when I found out it would cost around $35,000 to actually recreate their style, my jaw dropped. That’s a seriously steep price to pay to dress like the Birmingham gang!
Following the popular series Peaky Blinders, a new story continues Tommy Shelby’s journey with Cillian Murphy returning to the role. This time, Barry Keoghan joins the cast as Duke, Tommy’s son.
The film follows the Shelby family during World War II. The story revolves around a secret Nazi operation: using Jewish prisoners in concentration camps to counterfeit British money and destroy Britain’s economy.
Like the hit show Peaky Blinders, “The Immortal Man” features a distinctive, sharply dressed style – think flat caps and three-piece suits. But achieving this look, according to a recent report, can be quite expensive.
Peaky Blinders look guide costs $35,000
The Financial Times recently published a guide on recreating the Peaky Blinders look, detailing “18 ways to steal Tommy Shelby’s style.” Even buying just the essential items from the guide would cost almost $35,000.

Here are the essentials:
- Celine wool coat – £2,850 ($3,780)
- Blue Label Year of the Horse whisky – £224.90 ($300)
- Cartier gold pocket watch and chain – £14,000 ($18,565)
- Turnbull & Asser cotton shirt – £315 – ($418)
- Late-Victorian gold & ruby waistcoat chain – £3,950 ($5238)
- EB Meyrowitz acetate The Bloomsbury glasses – £1,250 ($1658)
- Carl Friedrik leather briefcase – £845 ($1,120)
- Tagliatore wool-mix pinstripe suit – £824 ($1,092)
- Holland Cooper tweed baker boy cap – £59 ($78)
- Paul Stuart leather saddle-stitch gloves – $295
- Huntsman merino wool morning vest – £550 ($730)
- Dunhill c1935 silver cigarette case – £769 ($1,020)
- Prada silk tie – £220 ($292)
- Lalique crystal Owl whisky tumbler – £245 ($325)
And that’s not all! You’ve also got to consider things like a $75 Wyrbrit cotton Oxford shirt and $330 Luca Faloni wool pleated pants.

The guide isn’t telling fans to spend a fortune trying to copy Tommy Shelby’s style – especially not $35,000! It mostly suggests modern, high-end pieces that give a similar feel, rather than exact replicas.
The real Peaky Blinders were a gang of working-class criminals in Birmingham. However, the show portrays them as becoming very wealthy – even millionaires – giving them the means to afford luxuries like expensive Cartier watches.
