I’m really looking forward to Demi being completely removed from the group so MomTok can finally concentrate on who they all really disagree with: Dakota. He’s put Taylor – and all of us – through enough emotional turmoil already.
Taylor is a prominent figure online, especially within the ‘MomTok’ community, so her personal choices impact many people. Currently, she’s caught in a confusing situation: she continues to be intimate with Dakota over the phone, even while upset about his behavior on the show Vanderpump Villa. It seems she isn’t emotionally ready to date, let alone handle the attention of the numerous men competing for her affection on The Bachelorette, but her friends are pushing her to try.
Taylor is new to dating, so her friends Jessi and Miranda set her up with a speed-dating event as practice for being The Bachelorette. The idea was that both situations require quick decisions based on brief conversations with many people she won’t remember. While Jessi naturally thrived at the event despite being married, Taylor felt awkward and quickly became overwhelmed. The experiment ended abruptly when one of her dates recognized her from her Bachelorette promo, forcing Taylor and her friends to make a quick exit.
Jessi isn’t giving up on helping Taylor find love, and honestly, she’d be amazing at planning parties – especially bachelorette parties! Since speed dating didn’t work, Jessi hires the dating coach from the event to work with Taylor individually. The coach advises Taylor to focus on what she really wants in a partner, instead of someone who feels comfortable, because everyone worries Taylor will ruin things for herself. Miranda, who always gets it right, believes Taylor is trying to find fulfillment through a relationship instead of dealing with her own feelings. I just love Miranda – she always speaks the truth on reality TV and then moves on without any drama.
Meanwhile, Jordan is causing drama. Whatever influence Dakota has over Taylor seems to be rubbing off on Jordan, who is pushing to have Dakota join the group’s trip to Los Angeles, even though Dakota doesn’t really belong. Despite the trip being organized by the moms to support Jen and Whitney on Dancing With the Stars, Jordan is determined to make it a ‘DadTok’ event and seems intent on disrupting the plans. He argues that Taylor and the moms shouldn’t decide who comes on the trips, a statement that’s both childish and untrue. It’s only after he convinces Dakota to come along that he realizes he might have created a tense situation. He nervously hopes everyone can get along, while Taylor openly talks about showing off her dates to Dakota.
Just so you know, Demi won’t be staying at the large Airbnb the ‘Mom and Dad TikTok’ group rented – she’ll be at a hotel. She also won’t be filming with the other cast members. However, she will be sitting with the ‘MomTok’ group in the audience during Dancing With the Stars, as if she’s still part of their team.
Aside from one small issue, the women are getting along better than ever. Whitney is back in the group chat, and Mikayla is genuinely upset she missed out on celebrating Whitney’s new baby after their disagreement. Mikayla is even showing her support by wearing and sharing “Vote for Whitney” shirts while backstage at Dancing With the Stars. If these two can resolve their issues, it feels like anything is possible!
There’s a really positive atmosphere on Dancing With the Stars, even with everything going on with Demi. Whitney is doing amazingly well, and everyone is impressed by how strong Jen is, especially considering she just had a baby. Mikayla is especially amazed that Jen gave birth only a few weeks ago and is already doing backflips on live television! But the good mood is dampened when the moms find out Dakota has returned to the house.
Mayci is determined to keep Taylor from getting back together with Dakota, so she’s been trying to set her up with other people. Recently, she introduced Taylor to podcaster Harry Jowsey, whom she met while promoting her book. Mayci doesn’t believe Harry is a good match for Taylor, but she just wants Taylor distracted—anyone will do—until filming for The Bachelorette begins. Currently, while the women are in the car, Harry hasn’t agreed to come over and hang out with Taylor. Mayci is urging Taylor to call him, hoping he’ll be enough of a distraction to keep Taylor away from Dakota for at least one night. Looking back, Mayci realizes this plan wasn’t very well thought out, as past arguments haven’t stopped Taylor and Dakota from ending up together. This will likely only make things worse.
Harry eventually shows up and is immediately surprised to find a baby, hinting he’s not ready for what’s happening in this TikTok house. He probably doesn’t know that Dakota is already gearing up for a fight somewhere else on the property. If he did, it’s unlikely he’ll stay for long before things escalate.
