Water Horse – Movie Review
Okay, so after seeing The Water Horse, my initial reaction is that it really bites off more than it can chew. It starts with a lovely, simple premise, but then gets bogged down trying to do too much, and ultimately loses focus on what made it charming in the first place. It’s a bit of a messy watch, honestly.

The story begins with Dianne Wilson, a paranormal investigator played by Grimson, searching for her missing mother. She’s joined by Osmond (Kyrwood), but the investigation quickly becomes chaotic. Detective Suzanne Lee, portrayed by Tovey, then takes over, leading a criminal investigation into the events surrounding Dianne’s team.
The investigation becomes increasingly complex, revealing a surprising link to Dianne’s history. The story shifts between supernatural events and the criminal investigation as we work to discover what really happened.

The central puzzle is truly captivating, filled with unsettling details that keep us guessing about what really happened.
Worst Parts
While the film uses the classic found footage style, it tries to do too much with an excessive number of plot twists. This prevents it from truly engaging the viewer or fully committing to either the found footage format or the possibility of genuine paranormal events. Ultimately, it feels overcomplicated and loses its focus.
