A new update on The Batman 2 suggests that a James Bond actor will not be starring in the movie.
The Batman 2, the follow-up to the 2022 hit, is coming to US theaters next year. Directed by Matt Reeves, the film stars Robert Pattinson as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Joining him are Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, and Barry Keoghan as the Joker.

Last week, Giant Freakin Robot reported that Daniel Craig, famous for playing James Bond, was offered a role in the upcoming Batman sequel, reportedly as Christopher Dent. Sources suggest that Stan will play Harvey Dent, Christopher’s son, who is also known as the villain Two-Face.
A recent report from World of Reel indicates that Daniel Craig has decided not to take on the role. It appears he’s busy preparing to film a new movie by Damien Chazelle, currently without a title, and co-starring Cillian Murphy and Michelle Williams.
According to World of Reel, the movie’s plot—which has been kept largely under wraps—reportedly centers on District Attorney Harvey Dent, Commissioner James Gordon (played by Jeffrey Wright), and Batman reluctantly teaming up to stop a serial killer and dismantle the city’s powerful mafia.
Information about The Batman 2 is still scarce, so consider everything you hear right now as unconfirmed speculation.
The next Batman movie is scheduled to release on October 1, 2027. You can currently watch the first Batman film and the spin-off series, The Penguin, on HBO Max.
