Honkai: Star Rail Launches Version 2.4 Update

On Wednesday, the latest version of Honkai: Star Rail was officially released, featuring a fresh character and an exciting new location to discover within Xianzhou Luofu. In this update, players find themselves back in Xianzhou Luofu, following the end of Penacony’s story from Version 2.3. The “Shackling Prison” map is now part of Xianzhou Luofu, serving as workplaces for characters Xueyi and Hanya. This new version also introduces a new character to the team, with Yunli, a five-star Physical Destruction character, joining alongside a repeat appearance of the popular five-star healer Huohuo.

In addition to the first roll in the gacha for Honkai: Star Rail’s latest update, there are more exciting additions coming up. The second part of the update will include the introduction of another five-star character, Yaoqing’s Jiaoqiu, as well as a rerun of the powerful support character Sparkle, known as Penacony. Version 2.4 also brings in a new variant character for Star Rail, with the beloved starting character March 7th getting a new form that transforms her into a DPS-focused Hunt Path character. Players can obtain this new form of March 7th by finishing the story content from Version 2.4.

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but get pumped about the upcoming goodies in Honkai: Star Rail during Version 2.4! Recently, HoYoverse gave us a sneak peek into an even more thrilling update for the game. The game is planning its first crossover with the iconic anime series Fate/Stay Night, which is scheduled to drop in Q4 of 2025. While the specifics of what this crossover entails are still under wraps, the developer hasn’t shared any details yet. With the game’s first collaboration and several new characters on the horizon, it looks like Honkai: Star Rail fans are in for a treat!
