Although some people were unsure at first, this comeback has already benefited everyone involved. With a successful start, there’s a lot of excitement about what will happen next.
The new season is considered a continuation of the original Scrubs series and is frequently called Season 10, despite being a separate project. While the show started strong, creator Bill Lawrence has discussed its future. ABC ordered a full season, but the direction of the story remains uncertain.

You know, I was reading an interview with Bill Lawrence, who’s super busy with his new HBO show, Rooster. He was talking about how amazing it is that people still love Scrubs. He said he’s just so happy and grateful that the show continues to resonate with viewers, which is really cool to hear as a fan.
The series got off to a strong start for ABC, achieving the best debut on their streaming platform in over a year – since the premiere of Shifting Gears. Within five days, it attracted 11.36 million viewers across both streaming and traditional television.
I really love the cast, not just the veterans – I’ve already talked a lot about Zach, of course. I’ve worked with both Donald and Sarah for years, and also with Zach on several projects, even directing an episode of his show, Rooster.
Lawrence expressed optimism about the show continuing, saying they’re hoping for it to be renewed for many more seasons.
Before the show returned, Zach Braff hinted to the publication that Ken Jenkins would reprise his role as Dr. Kelso in the next season, explaining that scheduling conflicts prevented his appearance this year.
