Even The Cleanest Of The White Lotus Characters Gave Into The Lure of Wealth
During the first season, Belinda was one of the hotel staff, struggling with the consequences of the wealthy guests’ behavior. She trusted Tanya when Tanya offered a business partnership, but felt humiliated when Tanya ultimately rejected her. While Armond faced the most tragic outcome, losing his life because of Shane, Belinda also had to deal with her own deeply disappointing experience and broken hopes.
It was surprising to see Belinda compromise her principles for financial gain, but that’s a central theme of Mike White’s show, The White Lotus. The show often exposes the darker side of human nature, particularly when money and power are involved. No one is immune to greed, and Belinda’s story demonstrates how even someone with strong morals can justify compromising their values to achieve financial security and escape a dissatisfying job. Mike White brilliantly showed how even genuinely good people can be changed by wealth and influence. Honestly, it feels like we’ve seen the last of her major storyline – her journey from being overlooked and undervalued to experiencing privilege is, sadly, complete. It was a powerful, if disheartening, transformation.
Who Is Going To Appear In The White Lotus Season 4?
Details about Season 4 are currently scarce, but we know the story will unfold in France, with filming taking place in Paris and the south of the country. While it’s unclear if any familiar faces will return – though Gary or Greg could potentially reappear – a fantastic new cast has been confirmed.
The next season of White Lotus will feature Helena Bonham Carter, Chris Messina, Steve Coogan, Alexander Ludwig, Marissa Long, Sandra Bernhard, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Ari Graynor, and AJ Michalka.
