TopMob recently spoke with the champion of Beast Games Season 2. He shared news about his relationships with other contestants and explained his strategy for targeting Auguste Auger (Player 172) in the final round. Be aware that this contains spoilers!
The final episode of MrBeast’s competition aired on Wednesday, February 25th, and crowned a single winner from a group of six finalists. Tyler Lucas, known as Player 167, won the grand prize of $5.1 million.
I was so excited to hear from Tyler! He said he’s being super responsible with his winnings and wants to make sure his kids are financially secure before he spends any of it, which is awesome. He also gave us an update on Jim and Monika, Players 173 and 152 – they’ve officially moved in together! It’s really sweet to see them taking that step.
We asked about Auguste, who had been friends with Tyler during the show. It was surprising that Tyler chose to target him, but there was a valid explanation.
Beast Games Season 2 winner on kicking Auguste’s heart

In Season 2, Episode 10 of Beast Games, Tyler shared that he regretted the group focusing on Hannah as a target. He’s since explained it was a difficult choice, but he wanted to set a good example for his kids by acting with integrity.
If you’re just joining us, in the eighth game, the six remaining players each stood on a platform facing a glass heart that belonged to another player. They took turns kicking a ball at these hearts, and anyone whose heart broke was out of the game.
The game continued until only six players remained. Jack (Player 58) was the first to be eliminated. This left Tyler, Auguste, Cory (Player 191), Brett (Player 195), and Hannah (Player 99) still in the competition.
After Jack was eliminated, the other players all turned on Hannah, upsetting her greatly. Tyler announced he was going to target Hannah, but accidentally hit Auguste instead.

Auguste was stunned, especially since he and Tyler had been friends throughout the competition. “I’m sorry, man,” Tyler said, but Auguste responded, “I don’t understand why things had to end like that. We played the entire game together… I’m just completely shocked and don’t know what to feel.”
After the final episode aired on Prime Video, TopMob asked Tyler if he and Auguste had reconciled. Tyler confirmed they had spoken and were now on good terms, with no lingering bad feelings.
Tyler explained his difficult decision, saying, “It was hard because we were allies and good friends, but ultimately I had to do what I thought was best.”
He was a strong opponent, and I realized I needed to think carefully about my next steps to win.
Seeing Hannah upset really bothered me. I don’t want my sons to think it’s okay to team up against someone, especially a girl. I stepped in because I want to set a good example for them and show them how to treat people with respect – that was my main reason for acting.
Player 167 Tyler reveals “amazing” living space in Beast City

Tyler also mentioned being very happy with the living arrangements on Beast Games Season 2, describing the set as “an amazing place.”
Before the first season of the Prime Video series even aired in August 2024, several contestants secretly told the New York Times that they weren’t provided with enough food, water, or medical attention while filming.
The next month, five contestants sued the show’s production companies, including Amazon. Amazon didn’t offer a statement, and as of today, the lawsuit remains unresolved.
MrBeast replied to a fan comment on TopMob’s post, saying they’ll be releasing behind-the-scenes footage once the show airs to demonstrate that the claims made about the show’s conditions are exaggerated.
We have a lot of evidence that will prove these accusations are exaggerated, but we can’t share it yet because it would reveal key plot points and ruin the experience.

Tyler explained that the accommodations for the second part of the project were excellent, with complete freedom. He said they were able to explore and have fun in Beast City whenever they had free time.
The facility they created for us was incredible. It felt unreal when I first saw it, and we really made the most of our free time there, exploring and enjoying it, knowing our time wouldn’t be indefinite.
Players also enjoyed unlimited free Starbucks. As a sponsor of Beast Games Season 2, MrBeast provided a special pop-up area with a Starbucks and a Feastables café, both open 24/7 for the contestants.
Tyler admitted he went to Starbucks several times a day. He jokingly described his diet as consisting almost entirely of Starbucks, explaining he felt he needed to make the most of having access to it.
