
After hearing customer feedback about the quality of their burgers, Burger King is updating the Whopper for the first time in ten years.
In mid-February, Burger King started a program where customers could directly share their thoughts with President Tom Curtis via phone or text, giving the company valuable feedback on how it was doing.
Based on customer feedback, Burger King is already making significant changes, and just a week later, they announced a major update to the Whopper.
Burger King announced that the Whopper is getting an upgrade! It will now feature a softer, more flavorful bun, a richer mayonnaise, and come in a box instead of a bag.

Burger King upgrading Whopper, but won’t raise prices
The change is happening because customers reported that their Whoppers were getting crushed and falling apart during delivery and were often messy when they received them.
According to Curtis, in a CNN interview, people have noticed the Whopper getting flattened during shipping. Burger King responded by improving the packaging to better hold the sandwich together. They also switched to a richer, creamier mayonnaise at the request of some franchise owners, and upgraded the bun to be more premium.
Okay, so Burger King is making the Whopper even better, but here’s the cool part: they’re not raising prices! Apparently, the people who own each Burger King are covering the extra cost themselves. I heard it’ll run them about $4,000 a year per location, but they’re willing to eat that cost so we can keep getting our Whoppers without paying more. That’s a win for us gamers who need a quick bite between matches!

The company expects this investment to boost sales, thanks to insights gained from a customer feedback line created by Curtis. He personally spends four to six hours each day – even on weekends – talking directly with customers to understand their needs and preferences, as he shared with CNN.
