As a long-time fan of HoYoverse and Honkai: Star Rail, I couldn’t be more excited for the upcoming Version 2.4 update! The return to Xianzhou Luofu is particularly intriguing as it holds a special place in the game’s rich lore. Having followed the Penacony storyline closely, I’m eager to see how HoYoverse continues to develop this captivating universe.
After finishing the Penacony saga, the Astral Express is headed to its next adventure: Xianzhou Luofu. In a past HoYoverse RPG storyline, this place was introduced, but there will be fresh faces joining in for this installment. Among them are new 5-star characters Yunli and Jiaoqiu.
Last week during HoYoverse’s Special Program livestream, they shared information about Honkai: Star Rail’s upcoming Version 2.4. This update is set to launch on July 31, 2024. Players will be traveling back to Xianzhou Luofu and interacting with familiar faces such as Hanya and Xueyi in the newly incorporated Shackling Prison region. In this new storyline chapter, two new characters, Yunli (Physical, Destruction) and Jiaoqiu (Fire, Nihility), will be introduced. Players can obtain these characters through Event Warps during Version 2.4.
HoYoverse announced that Sparkle and Huohuo will appear again in Version 2.4’s events alongside the new characters. Additionally, they are currently developing a partnership with Fate/stay night anime, aiming for a launch in Q3 2025.
