NBA 2K26’s Season 5 is on its way, bringing a college theme to the game! Both MyCAREER and MyTEAM players will find fresh content, and there are up to 80 free rewards available when the season launches. Here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know about what’s coming.
NBA 2K26 Season 5 To Feature New College Basketball Content
NBA 2K26 Season 5 brings college-themed content from 16 NCAA Powerhouse schools, including:
- Arizona
- Baylor
- Duke
- Florida
- Houston
- Kansas
- Kentucky
- Louisville
- Michigan
- Michigan State
- Ohio State
- Purdue
- Texas
- UCLA
- UConn
- UNC
Okay, so this season is gonna be cool – they’re letting us play as athletes from both the men’s and women’s teams at each school! Plus, there are new challenges and rewards with a specific theme, which is awesome. I’m excited to see what they’ve got planned!
In MyTEAM, all players will get a College Celebration Box with 5 Free Agent Option Packs inside. The players you get in these packs can be used for five games and will then be available to redeem when the new season begins. These boxes highlight current college players.
Challenge Games will include daily challenges with these players. Successfully completing a challenge earns you a 94 OVR Diamond version of that player. Play five games with them, and their rating increases to 96 OVR. Finally, meet their specific stat goals to unlock a powerful 98 OVR Galaxy Opal card.
Overall, there will be 41 Evolution Cards up for grabs throughout the season.
As a huge fan, I’m so excited about all the college stuff coming to MyPLAYER! It’s not just about the jerseys – you’ll be able to deck out your MyCOURT with college murals too, showing off your favorite school. And just in time for March Madness, I’ll finally be able to rep my team’s colors in my career mode! The developers are even adding some of the college mascots to the game, which is an awesome touch.
NBA 2K26 will add five new character builds created by the community, covering different player positions. Plus, you can share your own MyPLAYER build and it might be included in a future game update!
