This week sees the release of Ys X: Proud Nordics, an improved version of the original game, now available on PC, Switch 2, and PS5. The game includes content from the original, like costumes and accessories, plus brand new downloadable content, both free and paid. This guide will detail all the available free and paid DLC, as well as any bundles, and will be updated on launch day with pricing and upgrade details.

Ys X: Proud Nordics free DLC from Ys X: Nordics base game 

The Ys X: Nordics DLC included in the base release of Ys X: Proud Nordics (for free) is as follows:

How to claim DLC in Ys X: Proud Nordics – free and new paid content

To access the free content included with Ys X: Proud Nordics, open your inventory, go to the “Usable” tab, and claim each item individually. For any new DLC you purchase, switch to the “DLC” tab on the right and claim each set separately. Once you’ve obtained mascots, you can find them in the “Usable” tab to display them on screen.

How to change costumes in Ys X: Proud Nordics

In Ys X: Proud Nordics, you can change your party members’ outfits by going to the equipment menu and scrolling down to the cosmetics section. This is where you’ll find and equip costumes and accessories for each character.

Ys X: Proud Nordics editions, prices, and upgrading

I’m really excited for this game! The developers said they’ll share more details – like when we in the West can actually buy it and how much each version will cost – as soon as everything is finalized.

Ys X: Proud Nordics will be available in Western regions on February 20, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store). Players in Japan will be able to play it starting February 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5.
