A recently revealed report details a cut post-credits scene from the Agatha All Along series featuring Aubrey Plaza as Lady Death. The scene was reportedly part of an alternate ending that didn’t make it into the final version of the Marvel show.
Aubrey Plaza’s deleted post-credits scene in Agatha All Along possibly revealed
A source named MyTimeToShineHello shared details on X (formerly Twitter) about a deleted post-credits scene from the Disney+ series Agatha All Along. The scene reportedly featured Rio and Lady Death following Ghost Agatha and Billy through the portal at the end of the episode.
Jac Schaeffer, the showrunner, had written multiple scenes to play after the credits, a practice she’s done on all her Marvel projects. However, Marvel ultimately decided not to include any post-credit scenes in this show. She explained to Entertainment Weekly that these scenes often change significantly throughout the production process, making their inclusion a late decision.
I heard there was a whole scene cut from the series where Jennifer Kale was trying to find the doctor she first thought was responsible for taking her abilities. Apparently, Marvel filmed a bunch of extra scenes – little tag endings, really – and considered using this one, but they ended up leaving it on the cutting room floor.
The season finale of Agatha All Along didn’t include any extra scenes after the credits, a departure from typical Marvel shows. All episodes are now available to stream on Disney+. The series follows Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, who escapes a spell cast by a young, mysterious goth and embarks on a journey called the Witches’ Road. During her travels, she gathers a group of witches and overcomes magical challenges to reclaim what was taken from her.
Joining Retta Hahn in the cast are Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, and Aubrey Plaza. Kevin Feige and Jac Schaeffer are executive producers; Schaeffer also directed the first episode.
Disney entered the series for comedy awards at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and the Emmys. Despite being presented as a one-time story, the characters of Agatha and Wiccan will return in the next Vision series, completing a three-part saga that started with WandaVision.
