Twitch streamer AspenKartier is facing criticism after viewers accused her of hitting her dog on a recent livestream. The incident happened after the dog got loose from its enclosure, and sparked a strong negative reaction online.
The event happened during a live stream on January 28th. Though the dog wasn’t seen on camera, the audio captured AspenKartier asking, “How did you get out of the cage?” before sounds suggest she picked the animal up.
Just after that, I started hearing this dog yelping over and over, and it seemed to happen every time the streamer hit something three times. It was a little unsettling, to be honest!
Videos of the incident quickly spread online, particularly on Reddit and other social media platforms, leading many viewers to claim the streamer was abusing an animal. As of now, AspenKartier hasn’t commented on what happened, and the original stream recording has been removed.

At the end of the clip, the streamer carries the animal by its scruff out of the room.
So, I stumbled across AspenKartier a while back, and she’s seriously awesome. She used to be a rapper, but now she’s a full-time streamer and content creator. I follow her on Twitch – she’s got over 70,000 followers there! – and I’m one of her 100,000+ subscribers on YouTube. She posts everything from highlights of her live streams to totally original videos, which is pretty cool.
People reacted with shock to the video, and one commenter expressed their distress, hoping the person responsible would be banned and the puppy would find a good home.
One person commented that it was difficult to watch, adding that people shouldn’t get a dog if they can’t provide proper care. They also speculated about how the animal is treated when not being filmed.
Okay, I just saw this video and I’m seriously upset. Someone needs to help this poor dog, like, now. What that person is doing is straight-up animal abuse and needs to be reported immediately. It’s awful.
Currently, AspenKartier’s Twitch channel hasn’t been penalized and is still live. We’ll share updates here if anything changes or if AspenKartier comments on the situation.
