Chris Evans’ 2009 thriller, Push, is suddenly popular again, gaining attention online after more than fifteen years. This week, it’s reached the Top 10 on Tubi, currently ranking at number five, according to FlixPatrol. This shows people are rediscovering one of Evans’ movies outside of the Marvel universe.

When Nick Gant’s father is murdered, he flees to Hong Kong to escape Division, a covert government organization that experiments on people with psychic abilities. While there, he meets Cassie Holmes, a teenage psychic who asks for his help finding Kira Hollis, a young woman who recently escaped from Division.

With the powerful organization known as Division closing in, Nick and his friends gather other people with special abilities to defend Kira and battle the agency’s forces. This includes facing off against the relentless enforcer, Henry Carver. The film stars Luke Evans alongside Dakota Fanning as Cassie Holmes, Camilla Belle as Kira Hudson, Djimon Hounsou as the Division agent Henry Carver, and Joel Gretsch as Jonah Gant.

Chris Evans’ film, Push, came out in theaters in February 2009 and made around $49 million worldwide. In the United States, it earned about $31 million, while international earnings totaled $17 million. Despite the box office numbers, the movie received mostly negative reviews. Critics gave it a 23% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences rated it slightly higher at 42%.

The movie didn’t do well when it first came out, but it’s gaining popularity now thanks to streaming services.
