Before its March 5th release, Bungie announced the complete voice cast for Marathon, and it’s impressive! The cast includes popular actors from games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Clair Obscur, as well as stars from sci-fi TV shows and other well-known video games, showing Bungie is making voice acting a priority for Marathon.
Bungie recently announced the 33 actors who voice the characters in the upcoming game Marathon. The cast includes many familiar names, especially for fans of games and science fiction. Notably, several actors who voiced popular companions in Baldur’s Gate 3 are involved, including Jennifer English as Shadowheart, Neil Newbon as Astarion, Samantha Béart as Karlach, and Tracy Wiles as Jaheira. Ben Starr and Rich Keeble, known for their roles as Verso and Monoco in Clair Obscur, are also part of the cast.

Fans of science fiction will likely recognize several voice actors in this project. Nika Futterman, known for voicing Asajj Ventress in the animated series Clone Wars, and Elias Toufexis, the voice of Adam Jensen from the Deus Ex games, both went on to appear in sci-fi TV shows like The Expanse and Star Trek: Discovery. Other talented actors involved include Roger Clark, who plays Arthur Morgan in Red Dead 2, Morla Gorrondona, the voice of Eris Morn in Destiny 2, and Erin Yvette, who has lent her voice to games like Dispatch, The Wolf Among Us, and Hades 2.

Most games don’t share their complete cast of characters before launch, but it makes sense in this case given the well-known voice actors working on Marathon. The newest trailer introduces Gantry, an agent of the MIDA faction, one of many characters players will encounter in the Tau Ceti world. Marathon will feature six different factions, each with unique characters and secrets to discover.
Bungie’s new game, Marathon, is launching at the same time as the popular shooter Arc Raiders. A key difference between the two could be Marathon’s voice acting, which features a talented cast. Arc Raiders has generally been well-received, but some players and reviewers have criticized its use of artificial intelligence for voiceovers.
