The actor who played the Evil Queen at Disneyland, and recently went viral for her performance, has revealed she was fired after working at the park for eight years and has shared her side of the story.
You’ve probably seen Disneyland’s Evil Queen online, even if you haven’t visited the park. A video of a guest interacting with her went viral in 2019, and she became an instant internet favorite.
Since then, videos of her have become very popular online. People have been especially impressed with how well she plays the character, appreciating her clever responses, accurate insults, and excellent performance.
All the publicity wasn’t without its downsides. Rumors began spreading online in October 2025 that she would be leaving her job at the park, and she recently confirmed she was let go after eight years of service.
Viral Disney Evil Queen speaks up about her departure from Disneyland
I was totally shocked when Sabrina Von B. revealed on TikTok that she was the actress who played The Evil Queen! It was back in December 2025, and everyone immediately started wondering if that meant she was no longer with the show.
She recently spoke out in a new interview with PEOPLE, sharing that it was a dream come true to reimagine a character that wasn’t well-known before her videos gained popularity.
She said it was a privilege to play a Disney villain. She especially enjoyed adding a humorous touch to the role, finding it rewarding to make audiences smile even while portraying a bad guy.
Von B. has played several iconic villainous roles since she was 18, including Maleficent, Agatha Harkness, and Lady Tremaine. However, she’s most famous for her portrayal of the Evil Queen.
She appreciates the chance she was given, but her job wasn’t always easy. During the interview, she also talked about some of the challenges she faced.
Everything from battling the California heat in a costume to getting mentally and physically ready – including needing the stamina for such a challenging job – was part of the process.
As her online fame increased, she faced another issue: protecting her identity. She explained that Disney is very careful about maintaining its magical image, and people online were attempting to discover who she really was.
I didn’t publicly share who I was until after I was let go. That’s when I first spoke openly about it.
Although she’s moved on from the position, Von B. expressed feeling honored and pleased to have made a positive difference for guests.
She’s transitioning away from her previous role and is optimistic about her future career prospects.
