Miraculous Ladybug Gets Even Bigger After 10-Year Anniversary With ‘Live Stage Spectacular’
The Miraculous Live Stage Spectacular promises a brand new story and original songs, combined with incredible visuals. Expect a unique show featuring stunning acrobatics, aerial performances, illusions, dance, and puppetry, all seamlessly integrated with video. The team behind the production – Allaire and Ferguson – have a proven track record of creating successful live shows, including Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure, Scooby-Doo! and The Lost City of Gold, and All Systems Are Go! A NASA / Peanuts Experience, so audiences are in for a truly memorable experience.
Roz Nowicki, Head of Consumer Products at Miraculous Corp., explained that Miraculous is about self-discovery and finding the hero within. The new Miraculous Live Stage Spectacular aims to bring this message to life in an exciting way. By working with Monlove, they hope to stay true to the show’s core values while creating a fantastic live experience that families and fans of all ages can enjoy worldwide.
Allaire, the founder and artistic director of Monlove, explained that she was captivated by Miraculous because of its main character, Marinette. She described Marinette as a smart, active, and imaginative teenager who embodies a real superhero. Allaire believes we need more heroes like Ladybug and Cat Noir for families and today’s children. Monlove’s aim is to pay tribute to these amazing characters and the world created by Jeremy Zag, Thomas Astruc, and Nathanaël Bronn.
According to Monlove’s Head of Creation, Ferguson, this show is unlike most kids’ programs. It’s a high-quality, family-friendly experience that combines the magic of live theater with cutting-edge technology, creating moments that are impossible to replicate on television. Think of it as a pop concert’s energy combined with the fast pace of an action movie, all wrapped up in a classic fairytale about the power of bravery.
The show first aired in 2015 and quickly became popular. It centers around Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a high school student with dreams of becoming a fashion designer. Secretly, she transforms into the superhero Ladybug. As Ladybug, she often teams up with another young hero named Cat Noir – unaware that he’s actually her classmate and crush, Adrian Agreste.
As a huge Miraculous fan, I was so excited when November rolled around! We got this amazing new animated film, and it seriously expanded the Miraculous universe. It introduced the Stellar Force – a whole new team of teenage heroes – and it felt like a peek into a totally different side of things. What’s even cooler is that Miraculous World: Tokyo – Stellar Force is actually a sneak peek at a brand-new TV series, Miraculous Stellar Force, which is coming in 2027! I can’t wait!
