The show is full of unexpected twists, making it easy to watch multiple episodes at once. However, viewers have had mixed reactions so far.
The show Run Away is getting mixed reactions, according to reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics initially gave it a high score of 83%, which has slightly dropped to 78% as more reviews come in. Viewers, however, seem less impressed, giving the show a score of 57%.
Jeff Ewing from Collider recently reviewed the Netflix series, calling it “a fun yarn, full of violence and surprises that will keep audiences guessing.” He also praised the show’s characters, noting they are engaging and stand out due to their unique qualities and strong performances.
However, Brian Tallerico from rogerebert.com offered a negative review, describing the crime thriller as becoming overly reliant on unbelievable coincidences and illogical plot twists. He also felt that, while James Nesbitt delivered a good performance as Simon, the rest of the cast wasn’t particularly strong.

Netflix has already turned several Harlan Coben novels into TV series. The new series, Run Away, has a critics’ score of 78%, which is on the lower side compared to the other 10 Coben adaptations. It currently ranks higher than only four other Coben shows on Netflix: Fool Me Once (72%), Safe (71%), Missing You (50%), and Caught (50%).
Harlan Coben’s series are doing well on Netflix, and Run Away is a promising addition. Fool Me Once has been viewed by 98.2 million people in its first 91 days, making it one of Netflix’s most popular English-language series ever, despite a 46% audience score. Run Away, with a 57% audience score, is actually performing better than Fool Me Once, as well as other Coben adaptations like Stay Close (54%) and Just One Look (34%).
