Joshua, 36, was injured in a traffic accident on December 29th while driving on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State, Nigeria. He was heading to see family for the New Year and was treated at a hospital before being released.
Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, appeared in court on Friday facing charges related to a recent traffic incident. According to police, he was charged with four offenses: causing death by dangerous driving, reckless driving, driving carelessly, and operating a vehicle without a valid license.
Kayode was released on bail for 5,000,000 Naira, which is about $3,469, but he must meet certain conditions before being fully released. The court will continue hearing the case on January 20th.

Joshua, originally from Watford and with family connections to Sagamu, was in Nigeria after winning his fight against Jake Paul on December 19th.
Paul shared a message on X, saying he was thinking of and praying for everyone impacted by the crash, and specifically for Joshua’s recovery.
