I’m so proud to say that BLACKPINK has officially reached over a billion streams on Spotify with both “How You Like That” and “Kill This Love”! Looking at the numbers, it’s clear they’re one of the biggest and most-listened-to K-Pop groups ever, and this just proves it!
This milestone was reached years after the songs were first released, proving their lasting popularity instead of just a quick boost in streams. ‘Kill This Love’ came out in 2019, and ‘How You Like That’ followed in 2020, marking the group’s return after a significant break.
How You Like That and Kill This Love reach new milestone
BLACKPINK first released “How You Like That” as a single in June 2020, and it was later included on their first full-length album, The Album. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 33, making it the group’s most successful single in the US up to that point.
Released in April 2019, “Kill This Love” was the first single from the EP of the same name. It entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 41 and was important in helping the group gain popularity in Western countries as they were becoming globally successful.
