Scream Duo Tease Their Reunion In Five Nights At Freddy’s 2

Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich, who famously starred together in the movie *Scream* almost 30 years ago, are teaming up again for *Five Nights at Freddy’s 2*. This sequel follows the 2023 film based on the popular video game series. While details about Ulrich’s new role are still under wraps, Lillard playfully hinted at it during a recent appearance with him at Silver Scream Con.

Lillard shared with Bloody Disgusting that he’s really excited to have Ulrich join the project. He’s already seen Ulrich’s performance and believes audiences will love him in the role. Lillard hopes Ulrich will return for future installments if the movie does well.

Ulrich shared that he always enjoys being around Matt, describing him as a truly generous and wonderful person. He noted that everyone who knows Matt has likely experienced his kindness, and their time together playing [Five Nights at Freddy’s 2] was a perfect example of that.

Lillard is once again playing William Afton, the villain responsible for the haunted animatronics – creatures he built using the spirits of children. At a recent event, he also teased how Afton becomes Springtrap and explained why he didn’t lend his voice to the Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration in the game Dead by Daylight.

Lillard remembered being asked to record lines for the video game Dead by Daylight, but he had a condition. He wouldn’t do it until after his character said the line ‘Springtap’ in the actual movie. So, he’s saying the only way fans will hear him say ‘Springtap’ in the game is if they go see the movie on December 5th, and if the movie does well enough to get a third installment.

The sequel to Five Nights at Freddy’s will bring back Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt, Piper Rubio as Abby Schmidt, and Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa Afton. Joining them are Mckenna Grace and Teo Briones, who will play paranormal investigators, and Wayne Knight, who will appear in a currently secret role.

As Lillard mentioned, the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie will be released in theaters on December 5th. Before the movie comes out, fans can experience Five Nights at Freddy’s themed haunted houses at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights.
