As a researcher with extensive experience in the blockchain industry, I’m excited about the latest development between Aptos (APT) and Chainlink (LINK). The integration of Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and data feeds marks a significant step forward for Aptos as it joins Chainlink’s SCALE program.
As a researcher studying the blockchain landscape, I’m excited to share that Aptos (APT), the layer-1 blockchain based in Austin, Texas, announced its integration with Chainlink (LINK) on Thursday. Specifically, Aptos will be implementing Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and data feeds as part of joining Chainlink’s SCALE program. This collaboration is expected to enhance the functionality and interoperability of both platforms.
As a researcher, I’m excited to share that during the Consensus 2024 event held in Austin, an announcement was made regarding the expansion of the Aptos network. This growth is specifically designed to empower developers within the Aptos community to construct decentralized applications (dApps) seamlessly on our network.
According to the press statement, Aptos would be the pioneering Move-based blockchain to incorporate Chainlink’s offerings through this partnership.
With an increasing number of independent blockchains emerging, the ability for seamless communication between these networks has become a significant hurdle for the digital asset economy. Chainlink is one of the pioneering initiatives tackling this issue by facilitating data transmission between various systems and the external world. For instance, Chainlink’s CCIP (Chainlink Convergence Interface Protocol) software was instrumental in the collaboration between Chainlink and SWIFT, a global banking messaging system.
Founded by ex-employees of Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Aptos is a blockchain platform. Its primary strengths lie in affordable transactions and impressive processing speeds. The underlying code for this innovation was developed using Move, Meta’s programming language that was initially intended for their shelved crypto project, Diem.
“By becoming part of the Chainlink SCALE program, developers on Aptos will gain enhanced access to Chainlink’s offerings, broadening the range of tools at their disposal for constructing robust, scalable, and comprehensive dApps on Aptos.” – Bashar Lazaar, Grants and Ecosystem Lead, Aptos Foundation.
