Fan-favorite film star Peter Green tragically passes away at the age of 60.
According to reports, actor Brock Greene died on December 12th at his home in Manhattan. His manager, Gregg Edwards, confirmed the news. Greene is survived by his brother and sister. The cause of death has not yet been released.
Edwards described Greene as a remarkably talented character actor. He also shared that Greene was working on a documentary called From the American People: The Withdrawal of USAID, for which he provided the narration. According to Edwards, Greene was deeply committed to raising awareness about the global consequences of the US reducing funding for USAID. Edwards fondly remembered Greene as a generous and kind friend, and expressed how much he will be missed.
Born in Montclair, New Jersey, in 1965, Greene grew up living with his family until he left home at 15. For years, he lived on the streets before finding stability and starting his acting career in his mid-20s.
Isaiah Greene began his acting career with a brief appearance on the 1990 NBC series Hardball. He quickly followed that with a leading role as Jimmy in the 1992 crime drama Laws of Gravity, written and directed by Nick Gomez. Although the film didn’t do well in theaters, critics praised it, and Greene’s career soon began to rapidly gain momentum in both television and film.
Stephen Greene gained recognition for his role as Peter Winter in the 1993 drama Clean, Shaven. He quickly followed this with memorable villainous performances as Zed in Pulp Fiction and Dorian Tyrell in The Mask. Throughout the 1990s, Greene continued to star in a variety of films, including The Usual Suspects, Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, and Kiss & Tell, demonstrating his versatility as an actor.
Greene kept working in crime dramas and thrillers with films like Little Dixie and Pet Shop Days, solidifying his reputation in the genre. While he was mainly a film actor, he also appeared on television until 2023, playing Uncle Charlie in the popular John Wick spin-off series, The Continental.
Throughout his acting career, which includes many films and TV shows, Greene also appeared in a number of music videos. He first appeared in a music video in 1996 for House of Pain’s “Fed Up.” He went on to be featured in videos for songs like Prodigy’s “ABC,” Necro’s “Dead Body Disposal,” Jadakiss’s “Me,” and R.A. the Rugged Man’s “Dragon Fire.”
Currently, Greene is set to appear in one known film released after his death, called Clika, directed by Michael Greene. Greene co-wrote the screenplay with Sean McBride and Jimmy Humilde. The movie centers around Chito, an up-and-coming musician played by JayDee, who quickly becomes famous online, but then finds himself entangled in deceit and betrayal that puts his new life in danger.
