One Of 2025’s Weirdest Films Comes To 4K Blu-Tay This Month

This year saw a lot of superhero movies and surprise box office successes, but one of the most unique films was Bugonia. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons (who also produced the film), it didn’t make a huge splash in theaters, but it’s a movie you won’t soon forget. You can now preorder the film on limited-edition 4K Blu-ray, standard 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, or DVD, with copies shipping on December 23.

Bugonia is a remake of the 2003 South Korean film, Save the Green Planet. It centers on two cousins who believe the CEO of a major company is an alien planning to destroy the world. They kidnap her and hold her captive, leading to a tense and unpredictable showdown filled with interrogation and increasingly bizarre events. Though not a major commercial success, Bugonia was well-received by both critics and viewers, who praised the actors and the film’s surprising twists and turns.

I’m a total movie buff, and I just found some amazing Blu-ray deals! If you’re like me and love collecting, The Hobbit Trilogy is on sale in 4K, which is awesome. Plus, the A Better Tomorrow Trilogy box set is also much cheaper right now – definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of those films!
