Pamela Anderson revealed in a recent interview with People magazine that she and Naked Gun co-star Liam Neeson had a brief romantic relationship after filming wrapped. Anderson described an “intimate week” spent at Neeson’s estate in Albany, where they were joined by assistants and even family. Neeson playfully introduced her as his “future Mrs. Neeson” during a dinner, and Anderson even helped with gardening. There was a memorable moment where Neeson chased a bear away from a window while wearing a bathrobe. Ultimately, the relationship didn’t last. “I adore Liam, but we are better friends,” Anderson explained. She jokingly compared the whole experience to a Nancy Meyers movie, noting its sweet but ultimately unfulfilled nature.
There was obvious chemistry between Anderson and Neeson during their summer press tour for The Naked Gun, and rumors of a romance quickly spread. Anderson later said she found it amusing that people thought it was just for show. “I thought, ‘Are you kidding? This is genuine, we really liked each other!'” Ultimately, the buzz definitely helped sell movie tickets. Someone should call Meyers and get his take on it.
