Everyone at NVIDIA should use AI
Information leaked from a conversation on November 20th reveals NVIDIA’s focus on artificial intelligence. During the discussion, CEO Jensen Huang emphasized the importance of AI and encouraged all employees to utilize it. He also discussed instances where people weren’t embracing the technology, and addressed those concerns.
I’m hearing that some managers at Nvidia are actually telling their teams to limit their use of AI, and honestly, I can’t believe it! As a huge fan of the technology, I think we should be automating everything possible with AI. Seriously, if a task can be done by artificial intelligence, let’s let it! And trust me, even with all that automation, there will still be plenty of work for everyone – it just means we’ll be focusing on more important, creative things.
Jensen Huang isn’t alone in his thinking – many industries are seeing similar shifts. Eric Vaughan, the CEO of IgniteTech, demonstrated this in 2023 when he let go of nearly his entire workforce because they resisted adopting AI. He believed it was more practical to bring in new employees who were open to AI than to try to convince his current team to change their approach.
NVIDIA believes that increasing automation with AI won’t lead to job losses. In fact, the company is actively hiring and currently needs around 10,000 more employees, according to CEO Jensen Huang. This suggests that, for now, NVIDIA is using AI to augment its workforce, not replace it.
