Twitch now lets you donate 1000 subs to streamers with $1k discount

Twitch viewers can now give 1000 subscriptions to a streamer all at once, and it’s $1000 cheaper than buying them individually.

Fans have always been able to support their favorite streamers by gifting subscriptions. You can either gift a single subscription directly to someone you choose, or send multiple subscriptions randomly to viewers who are watching the stream.

Previously, the most subscriptions someone could donate at once was 100, but that limit was recently increased to 200. Because 200 gifted subscriptions cost about $1000, this feature is usually reserved for the most generous supporters.

Starting November 26th, Twitch now lets viewers gift up to 1000 subscriptions all at once. This costs almost $5000, but saves you $1000 compared to buying each subscription individually.

Twitch now lets you donate 1000 gifted subs

Emiru, a popular streamer, was among the first to receive the newly increased amount of gifted subscriptions, and a video of the moment quickly gained traction online.

I seriously couldn’t believe it when she said, “What the… I’m just lost for words!” Then she was like, “Seriously, thank you so much!” It’s so weird though, it looks like they just added something but it’s not showing up on the sub leaderboard, which is so strange.”

“I don’t even know how to react, holy f*ck,” she continued. “That’s f**king crazy.”

Twitch has updated its gifted subscription system. While viewers can now send any number of gifted subs, there’s a limit of 1000 total.

The new feature is now available for all streamers on Twitch, but Twitch hasn’t officially announced it on social media or updated its help documentation yet.

The help pages currently state that a viewer can gift a maximum of 100 subscriptions to a streamer.
