Jerry O’Connell Posted A Photo With Rebecca Romijn’s Ex John Stamos, And The Comments Are A+

Jerry O’Connell, the actor and TV personality, is very active on social media, often sharing photos with famous people he meets. That’s why it was surprising to see him post a picture with John Stamos, who used to be married to O’Connell’s wife, Rebecca Romijn. Fans definitely noticed the unexpected photo and have been sharing some interesting reactions.

I initially thought a major event must have brought John Stamos and Jerry O’Connell together, and that turned out to be true. They both attended Howie Mandel’s 70th birthday party on November 22nd. During or after the celebration, O’Connell posted a selfie on Instagram with Stamos and his wife, Caitlin – whom O’Connell had previously met while working on Law & Order: SVU. The post also includes a funny reference to a recent high-profile meeting at the White House.

It’s surprising to see this happening, given the public disagreement between O’Connell and Stamos a few years back. The issue started in 2023 when Stamos released his memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, and shared critical thoughts about his ex-wife, Romijn, whom he was married to from 1998 to 2005. Stamos discussed feeling betrayed and implied Romijn often made him feel intellectually inferior. Romijn, however, expressed shock and said she hadn’t expected those comments.

I remember when Jerry O’Connell said he wasn’t going to respond to anything his wife’s ex-husband was saying, and honestly, I understood why. He didn’t want to give the situation any more attention than it needed. But it looks like he and John Stamos have put all that behind them! They seemed to be getting along great at Howie Mandel’s party. Howie even made a joke about being a peacemaker, and it was fun to see everyone – and the fans online – joining in the lightheartedness.

I suddenly had the urge to ask Siri to play War’s song, “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” But honestly, it’s really nice to see this happen, and I wish I’d been there to witness it. I can’t even guess what they talked about after everything that went down. Still, that picture is great proof that John O’Connell and John Stamos ran into each other.

It’s great to see how things have worked out for these couples! Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn have built a really solid marriage since 2007, and they’re clearly devoted parents to their twin daughters. I especially loved hearing Jerry publicly champion Rebecca’s return as Mystique in the new Avengers: Doomsday film – a true sign of support. And John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh, who tied the knot in 2018, seem incredibly happy together, raising their son. It’s refreshing to see such positive and lasting relationships in the spotlight.

I don’t know for sure if the picture of John Stamos and Jay Leno together means Jay and John have fully made up. But, like many who commented on the photo, I’m happy to see them spending time together again.
