Music has a powerful effect on us – it can uplift, motivate, and sometimes make us do silly things. There’s a unique energy at live concerts that’s infectious, even for the performers themselves. Recently, Travis Scott was at a John Mayer concert, and his enthusiastic reaction is exactly what I needed to brighten my week.
It’s been a busy year for Travis Scott, with appearances at WrestleMania 41 and a Netflix documentary about the Astroworld tragedy. So, it’s understandable he’d want to relax and enjoy a John Mayer concert – and he definitely got into it! Check out this video:

I initially felt a little annoyed by his shouting, but then I realized how I would react in his situation. If John Mayer was playing “Neon” live right in front of me, I’d probably be just as excited! Honestly, I’d be screaming from anywhere in the venue, and I wouldn’t need security to intervene.
Following a series of controversies involving Kanye West, Travis Scott has recently discussed where they stand as friends and colleagues.
If you were surprised to see Travis Scott at a John Mayer concert, it makes sense they know each other. Mayer has actually produced some of Scott’s songs and played guitar on his tracks. He even joined Scott onstage during his performance on Saturday Night Live back in 2018.
You know, it’s really cool to see John Mayer and Travis Scott hanging out – it’s clear Travis is a genuine fan of John’s music. Honestly, I’m not even that surprised. I know so many people around Travis’s age who absolutely love Continuum, so it makes total sense he’s into it too!
I really hope someone makes a follow-up to this TikTok! I’d love to see John Mayer completely lose it at a Travis Scott concert. Considering how wild things got at Astroworld, Scott’s shows are probably just generally super chaotic. And honestly, knowing Mayer’s personality – especially after that viral video of him at New Year’s Eve – I doubt he’s capable of matching Scott’s high energy.
A more effective approach for Mayer might be to remain remarkably calm and relaxed while his fans are going wild. Picture him casually smoking a pipe while lounging in a Victorian chair, dressed in a silk robe – I suspect he owns one. He’s the type of person who even brings his guitar into the bedroom.
It’s currently unknown whether Travis Scott or John Mayer will appear on TV in 2026. However, it’s unlikely we’ll see Travis Scott on WWE programming, as previous plans for his involvement seem to have fallen through.
