It includes the complete original score and music from ‘The Old Hunters’ expansion. The music was professionally recorded at the renowned Abbey Road Studios and AIR Studios in London. The set comes in a lift-off lid box with elegant gold foiling and an obi strip, and also includes an exclusive Caryll Runes slipmat.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the popular game Bloodborne, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Laced Records are releasing an expanded vinyl soundtrack.
The Laced Exclusive Edition includes the original Bloodborne double LP from 2019, plus a new Vol. II LP featuring nine remastered tracks. These include four songs from the original game that haven’t been released on vinyl before, and five boss battle themes from the ‘The Old Hunters’ DLC, such as “Ludwig, The Holy Blade” and “Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower”.
The complete set comes in a special collector’s box with gold foil details and an obi strip, and also includes a Caryll Runes slipmat. The collector’s box and slipmat will also be sold separately.
Released in 2015, Bloodborne was a brand new game for PlayStation created by director Hidetaka Miyazaki and the team at FromSoftware. The game quickly gained a dedicated following, and its expansion, The Old Hunters, arrived later that same year. Bloodborne is now considered a classic thanks to its intense combat, dark Gothic setting, and influences from the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
The music in Bloodborne is a stunning example of orchestral and choral composition, perfectly capturing the game’s terrifying atmosphere. It uses powerful boss themes to evoke feelings of sadness, anger, fear, and a sense of lost majesty, and these moments are even more effective because much of the game is experienced in silence. The score was created by a talented team of composers from both America and Japan, including Ryan Amon, Yuka Kitamura, Tsukasa Saitoh, Nobuyoshi Suzuki, Cris Velasco, and Michael Wandmacher, who together brought the dark world of Yharnam and its nightmarish landscapes to life.
