The Panacea Fan in Where Winds Meet isn’t the most powerful or visually impressive weapon, but it’s incredibly useful, especially for players who want to focus on healing or conserve resources. While it doesn’t deal much damage, it’s a readily available and effective way to restore health. If you’re looking to obtain the Panacea Fan in Where Winds Meet, here’s how.
How to Unlock Panacea Fan in Where Winds Meet
There are three ways to get the Panacea Fan:
- Choose it as your reward from Qi Sheng early in the game
- Observe a Panacea Fan master in Qinghe
- Join the Silver Needle Sect
Okay, so if you didn’t start with the Panacea Fan in Where Winds Meet (which, honestly, I didn’t!), the next best way to snag it is to watch a master using it. You’ll find this master in a dungeon pretty early on – it’s near the first Wayfarer you meet. But here’s the catch: you need a Dragon Key to get in. You can get one by just playing through the story, or, if you want to grind a bit, you can clear out Outposts on the map. That’s what I did!
The dungeon where you’ll find the Panacea Fan master is pretty straightforward. When you enter, you’ll become invisible, and your goal is to quietly sneak past the guards to a good vantage point where you can observe the master. It’s a small dungeon, so you won’t have trouble finding your way around.
Okay, so when I got to where the game told me to go, this mini-game started where I had to steal a skill. Basically, I just had to hit a button when a yellow ring lined up with this target on the screen. If I timed it right enough times, I’d unlock this cool new fighting style called the Panacea Fan, but there was still more to do after that!
Where to Get the Royal Remedy Inner Way in Where Winds Meet
Inner Ways (also called Inner Arts) are special abilities in Where Winds Meet that significantly impact how you develop your character. They work in the background, providing benefits – some are broad improvements, while others enhance specific skills like those used with the Panacea Fan. You can find the Royal Remedy Inner Way inside a dungeon; this ability makes one of the Panacea Fan’s powers even more effective.
To find the Royal Remedy, head to the large entrance room of the Panacea Fan dungeon. Look to the left of the stairs leading down to the courtyard – you’ll see a small window. You’ll need to crouch to get through, but watch out for the guards! If you have the Touch of Death skill, you can easily knock them unconscious. You earn this skill by finishing the ‘Echoes of Old Battles’ quest in the Where Winds Meet area.
Once you’ve defeated the guards, open the chest to find the Royal Remedy Inner Way. This will make the Panacea Fan’s healing ability much stronger.
