Battlefield Studios has updated the Conquest mode in the upcoming Battlefield 6 to make matches last longer – and they believe this is a positive change.
Starting today, November 20th, Conquest matches will have more tickets available – the number has increased from 1,000 to 1,200. The developers made this change based on player feedback, as well as data on things like win rates, game balance, and how well different strategies were working.
As a Battlefield fan, I’ve been really happy with the recent 1.1.2.0 update – it definitely feels like more games are coming back from the brink, and people are really focusing on the objectives now! But, a lot of us noticed matches were ending a little quickly after the update. So, the folks at Battlefield Studios are boosting the number of tickets in each match. They think this will give us longer, more engaging games while still keeping the focus where it should be – on actually playing the objective!
The developers explained that Battlefield has always been about focusing on the core objectives of the game, and that teamwork – playing the objective with your squad and functioning as a unified team – is now more crucial than ever for achieving victory.
Battlefield 6’s latest update, version 1.1.2.0, has changed how aim-assist works, bringing it back to the way it functioned during the game’s open beta. Meanwhile, the game’s current season is underway, featuring a new map called Eastwood, along with the usual in-game purchases.
Battlefield 6’s website claims it was the year’s best-selling shooter, but the company hasn’t shared any evidence to support that statement.
