From Season 3 Episode 7, ‘These Fragile Lives’, feels like a bit of a filler episode, but there are still some significant moments to take note of, especially surrounding Fatima’s phantom pregnancy and a truly unexpected, violent ending.
Since Season 3 of this MGM+ horror series began, I haven’t found the resolution we were all hoping for regarding the many questions that have been brewing since day one in Fromville. Instead, the enigmas have only grown deeper, casting a shadow of despair over its residents.
In Episode 6, Victor and Henry managed to get Jasper the ventriloquist figure out of the tunnels, following a chilling encounter with some strange creatures. Unfortunately, Fatima’s ultrasound revealed something alarming – there appears to be no baby present at all. Meanwhile, Tabitha discovered a past link to Fromville.

Perplexingly, upon Ellis’ entry, her abdomen seems ordinary. This confuses Ellis, leading him to believe she might be suffering from psychosis. Meanwhile, as viewers, we’re left questioning if this is a product of Fatima’s imagination. Given Fromville’s background, it seems more plausible that the entity is teasing her instead.
Elgin is led to the red door
In the seventh episode of Season 3, as Elgin constructs a mobile for Fatima’s infant at Colony House, an unexpected photo suddenly appears from the Polaroid camera, revealing the entrances to the enigmatic basement.
He makes his way below and discovers a scarlet door that opens to an antiquated, broken bed and the bleached bones of someone deceased long ago. A spirit in a kimono materializes, but this time Elgin remains undaunted – he understands she’s guided him there for a purpose.
Regrettably, no further details are disclosed beyond this juncture, so we’re left with anticipation for the upcoming “From” episode to uncover more information.
Tabitha’s nightmares become reality
In the final installment, Tabitha examined Jade’s research and discovered details about the wooden totems bearing skulls and the trio of red stones situated deep within the forest. This revelation sparked a recollection: as a young girl, she frequently had nightmares featuring this very location.
In the third season’s seventh episode, she chooses to join Jade and Ethan outside to investigate personally. At that moment, Jim is out collecting provisions, leaving everyone to speculate about the potential implications of her decision.
It appears that Tabitha shares a similar connection with Fromville as Victor’s mother, Miranda; they both experienced visions of the location prior to actually visiting it.

Randall and Julie find a new mystery in the woods
Julie and Randall’s friendship deepens further, as they find common ground in the aftermath of Season 2’s ordeals. During their conversation, Julie confesses that she has never mastered driving, at which point Randall offers to take her for a spin in his van.
However, during their journey, the recurrence of cicadas seemed to torment Randall. Despite Julie not noticing them, Randall became terrified, causing him to halt the vehicle and rush out into the woods. Eventually, they stumbled upon some enigmatic ruins, evoking a peculiar sensation in both of them.
Regardless of what it is, Randall senses danger and advises Julie they need to return. True to form in this particular episode, no clarification about this situation will be provided until the closing credits appear.
Tillie meets a grisly end
As an avid admirer of From series, the climax has left me yearning for more, eagerly anticipating the continuation of the story. It all begins with me, stepping into the greenhouse and withdrawing a putrid-smelling vegetable vat.
It’s evident that she’s in a dilemma, unsure if to trust her own body. Eventually, Fatima chooses to leave, but soon experiences severe abdominal pains that force her to bend over. At this point, Tillie enters and attempts to soothe her, assuring her, “Things will turn out alright.
Fatima orders Tillie to depart, but Tillie refuses. In a moment of desperation, Fatima grabs garden shears and thrusts them directly into Tillie’s chest. Upon collapsing, Tillie hits the ground, and Fatima, struck by her actions, cries out for assistance.
As Tillie’s last words escaped, she urgently whispered to Fatima, “Flee immediately.” Despite her desperate attempt to safeguard her, it was already too late: Ellis arrived just in time to be shocked by the grim scene unfolding.
