Preorders are now open for the enhanced editions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom on Nintendo Switch 2. These updated versions of two popular Switch games will be released when the new console launches on June 5th. If you already own these games, you can upgrade to the new versions for $10 each through the eShop. Additionally, physical copies of the games with new packaging are available as well. The release of Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild will coincide with the introduction of four new Amiibo figures based on the Champions from Tears of the Kingdom: Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon, and Riju.
In a small group of Nintendo Switch games, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, are set to receive enhanced versions on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Similar to other Switch 2 Edition games, these upgraded versions will offer improved graphics and performance compared to their original Switch counterparts. Additionally, they will include additional features such as compatibility with the new Zelda Notes app, which offers daily login rewards, a real-time map showing your in-game location, the ability to share stats with other players online, and more.
In contrast to older Zelda games, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom place a significant focus on item management within your inventory, and at times, the controls can be a bit tricky to handle. These games are noticeably improved when played with controllers that allow for customizable back buttons. Fortunately, the Switch 2 Pro Controller comes equipped with built-in back buttons. If you’re planning to play the Switch 2 versions of these Zelda titles, it might be wise to also preorder the Switch 2 Pro Controller. The Switch 2 Pro Controller is set to launch alongside the games and console on June 5.
The Legend of Zelda New Amiibo Figures
In a fresh collection, the latest Zelda Amiibo figurines showcase dynamic poses that fans adore from the game Tears of the Kingdom. This new lineup introduces the initial four companions Link teams up with during his mission to safeguard Hyrule: Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon, and Riju. Each one of these characters is now available for pre-order at $30 apiece, which is almost double the price Nintendo previously set for Amiibo figures from Tears of the Kingdom.
