Zelda Notes Lets Players Swap Items Between Breath Of The Wild And Tears Of The Kingdom

Despite the absence of a brand-new mainline Zelda game at launch, Nintendo Switch 2 is debuting alongside upgraded editions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. One of these games’ innovative mobile capabilities, called Zelda Notes, allows players to exchange items between the two Zelda titles or share them with friends.

At the Nintendo Treehouse Live event, they showed off the item-sharing function by having Link engage in combat with a rock monster. This feature, known as Zelda Notes, enables players to store game items externally and then retrieve them using the Nintendo Switch mobile app when necessary. In this instance, Link received a war hammer from another player’s inventory for the demonstration.

When transferring items between different Zelda games via Zelda Notes, it’s important to note that there are certain restrictions. Items exclusive to Tears of the Kingdom will transform into something else when moved to Breath of the Wild. Conversely, players of Tears of the Kingdom can utilize Zelda Notes for exchanging autobuild blueprints via QR codes. Additionally, Zelda Notes offers a navigation aid to assist players in locating hard-to-reach spots on their journey.

Beyond the gaming experience, fresh Amiibo figures for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are coming soon, featuring characters like Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon, Riju, and Mineru’s Construct. On the launch day of June 5th for the Switch 2, upgraded versions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will be available. If you already own either game on the original Switch, you can upgrade to the Switch 2 version as a downloadable update, or it’s free if you’re a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscriber. However, Zelda Notes does not necessitate a membership.
