Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Can Be Beaten Under An Hour Due To A Glitch

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must admit that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has truly outshone its predecessors. However, it seems that this masterpiece has an unexpected hidden feature – a glitch that allows players to bypass most of the game in mere minutes!

In just a few days since its release, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has proven itself as one of the top-notch installments within the series. Yet, it didn’t take the speedrunning community long to discover a significant glitch that enables players to complete the game in less than an hour.

In simpler terms, the glitch allows Zelda to teleport directly to the game’s ultimate fortress, skipping over most of the game’s expansive areas. This shortcut significantly speeds up player’s completion rates.

In a recent post, reddit user xIceblue shared a video demonstrating a method to skip directly from after defeating the first dungeon to the final one (though it may cause a soft lock). They discovered a way to warp back slightly before this point, fight the boss there, and then move into the final area. This flag appears to resolve the soft lock issue, allowing them to complete the game with only four hearts remaining.

Spoilers ahead if you don’t want to know how it’s done.

By using Zelda’s Echo ability from the Trirod, you can place signposts atop trees, stacking multiple maps on top of each other. Once done, players can consult the global map and set down Zelda close to the last dungeon.

Speedrunner Onaku, known far and wide, has already finished a game completion with “any %” in an impressive 52 minutes. However, this accomplished player is now setting their sights even higher, targeting a time below 50 minutes.

Given that the new game has been released, it’s intriguing to observe how long gamers will continue to find ways to exploit its features. However, given Nintendo’s reputation for regular updates, it’s likely that we may receive a patch addressing these issues in an upcoming update relatively soon.
