Zelda: Breath Of The Wild On Switch 2 Has Already Been Beaten

The release date for Nintendo Switch 2 is set for June 5, along with the premium upgrade for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Switch 2 Edition. However, these delays haven’t hindered a Japanese content creator from successfully completing the game at a preview event in Tokyo.

According to VGC, Ikaboze shared a YouTube video showcasing their record-breaking completion of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Switch 2 in approximately seven minutes. It seems the demonstration had a timer limited to ten minutes and several save options. Notably, Ikaboze is known for speedrunning, utilizing their expertise to reach the game’s credits swiftly. The content creator boasted that this was the first time anyone managed to finish the demo as per the staff’s disclosure at the event.

This month, Nintendo revealed the upgraded editions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom on the Switch 2. These new versions will boast enhanced frame rates and resolutions, High Dynamic Range (HDR) compatibility, and an innovative feature called Zelda Notes via the Switch app. If you already own the original games for the Switch, you can upgrade for around $10 when the updated system launches. For those who don’t have the Switch version yet, the upgraded editions will retail for approximately $70 without any additional downloadable content for Breath of the Wild. Other titles getting similar enhancements include Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Moreover, certain Switch games such as Super Mario Odyssey and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet will receive free updates for the upcoming Switch 2 system. Additionally, original Switch games may experience enhanced performance on the new console without requiring a specific update or patch.
