Zachary Levi recently appeared on “The Megyn Kelly Show” to discuss his upcoming film, “The Unbreakable Boy.” During the interview, he shared that he felt a sense of tranquility when he chose last year to endorse Donald Trump as president. Initially, Levi had supported Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but after Trump secured the Republican nomination, he fully backed him.
Levi shared that he found tranquility since he recognized the significance outweighed his career’s preservation. He believes people tend to get trapped in patterns of self-protection, which isn’t beneficial. We should strive for wisdom, survival, and prosperity, but not let fear of personal harm dictate our decisions. Sometimes, you have to make sacrifices.”

“Levi expressed that he felt calm because what was at stake mattered more than his career’s safety. He feels people often get stuck in self-protection modes, which isn’t healthy. We should aim for wisdom, survival, and growth, but not base our decisions solely on avoiding harm. At times, you need to make sacrifices.
On September 28, Levi publicly supported Trump at a gathering in Michigan, paving the way for a dialogue between RFK Jr. and the former Representative, Tulsi Gabbard.
Levi shared with Kelly his deep concern: ‘Ultimately, what I fear is that I may find myself jobless in an industry that appears to be collapsing and won’t offer me opportunities in the future. It seems pointless, doesn’t it? If my acting career were to vanish – though I fervently hope it won’t have – it wouldn’t matter much if the world is on a downward spiral anyway.’
He went on to remark that “at least” Trump is “carrying out the promises he made during his presidency.” Moreover, he admitted that some of these actions were things he secretly hoped Trump would do because, as he put it, “we have a right to know what’s happening.” The actor concluded this statement.
Last year, when Levi backed Trump for president, he admitted it could harm his career because “Hollywood is extremely liberal.” However, Whoopi Goldberg famously countered Levi’s statement by asserting that Hollywood has traditionally leaned more towards the right. She dismissed his remark as nonsense and reminded Levi that Hollywood is diverse, saying, “We’re a blend of various views.
In response to Whoopi Goldberg and the team at “The View,” Levi expressed his disagreement with their view that Hollywood is both liberal and conservative. He mentioned that, while there might have been a balance of political views in Hollywood in the past, currently it’s challenging for someone at an early stage in their career to openly express conservative views without facing consequences due to the predominantly liberal atmosphere in the industry.
Levi expressed that “our industry is about to become incredibly intense” and urged fellow Trump supporters in Hollywood to express their views publicly.
He stated that we’ve been significantly affected, with the pandemic and strikes causing a great deal of damage. To all hidden Trump supporters out there, he urged, now is the time to act if you feel compelled to do so. If publicly declaring your support feels right for you, go ahead. But if it’s still too risky or uncomfortable, remember that I won’t push you. However, if your hesitation stems from fear of backlash within an industry that may not be sustainable for much longer, don’t let that stop you.
In “The Unbreakable Boy,” Levi shares the screen with Meghann Fahy and Patricia Heaton. This film will debut in cinemas on February 21, a release by Lionsgate.
