This evolution is manifested through innovative methods for content creation such as YouTube Shorts, as well as finer adjustments like offering a wider range of playback speeds.
To ensure these latest enhancements work smoothly, we’re inviting our Premium members to have an early sneak peek and share their thoughts. This was exactly what took place when we launched a fresh, exploratory feature on March 26, 2025.
YouTube is now automatically suggesting additional videos for you to watch, so you can keep exploring new content without having to switch away from your current watchlist.
New YouTube feature adds Recommended videos directly to your Queue
As a premium user gaming on Android, I’ve got an exciting heads-up! From now until April 7, there’s this cool new experimental feature that shifts my Recommended feed right into another convenient corner of the app.
Instead of only showing up on your homepage and in the Recommended section, recommended videos will now be displayed directly within your Watch List (Queue). For instance, if you’ve already arranged four videos to watch in your next viewing session, you can discover a fifth video without having to navigate away from the Watch List.
Absolutely, these videos aren’t automatically added to your playlist. Instead, it’s up to the user to decide which content they prefer and where exactly in their playlist they want to insert it, all manually.
In practice, this feature could potentially shave off several seconds for you, as it eliminates the need to return to the homepage, instead suggesting fresh videos directly at your current location.
