The last video uploaded by a YouTube user abruptly stopped due to her husband appearing on-screen, announcing that she had sadly passed away prior to completing the video.
Donna Jordan specialized in creating YouTube videos centered around sewing, while also assisting with the management of the Jordan Fabrics Quilt Store, which belonged to her family.
On March 18, 2025, her spouse shared Donna Jordan’s final video titled ‘Celebration of Life – Drop Diamonds’, on that platform.
The video started off as one of Donna’s regular sewing lessons, but around the 12-minute point, an unexpected event occurred – Donna’s husband, Matt, appeared on screen to share some shocking news. He revealed that their son had been unable to complete editing the footage because unfortunately, Donna passed away before she could finish filming.
YouTuber’s final video ends early as husband announces her death
Hey folks, I’m Matt Jordan, and I regret to inform you that this video concludes now. Sadly, our dear Donna couldn’t finish it off because tragically, she passed away on March 14 around 4 a.m.
Matt subsequently disclosed that Donna had been struggling with an ailment for several years, and during the last three months, it worsened significantly, necessitating increased medical attention.
Back in our teen years, I happened to cross paths with Donna – quite remarkable, considering she was already an accomplished quilt-maker at just sixteen!
He chuckled, saying, “I’m currently 67, which is a number I can’t easily count, but humor aside… She’s been creating beautiful quilts throughout this time, and we’ve both been dedicated to our passion of fabric crafting and quilting for approximately half a century.
As a fellow gaming enthusiast, let me share something heartfelt: Just recently, I’ve come across someone named Donna who found an incredible passion in creating and teaching quilting. She couldn’t fathom that she could earn money from this craft she adores so much. It was truly a gift for her, and I sincerely hope it becomes one for all of you as well.
With moist eyes, Matt went on to say, ‘We’ll deeply feel her absence. To me, she was an exceptional spouse, a valuable business associate, and a wonderful mother.’
Matt mentioned that Jordan Fabrics plans to keep creating content, however, during this time, they will pay tribute to Donna’s life.
He expressed his immense joy and gratitude for having Donna in his life, and he wishes everyone else could experience that same happiness as well. The video concluded with snapshots of Donna.

The final video was watched close to half a million times, causing an outpouring of tributes from fans who filled up the comment section in honor of the YouTuber.
I wept for a woman I’ve never personally encountered, yet felt as if she was familiar due to numerous tutorials I’ve seen. My condolences to the Jordan family; her absence will be profoundly felt.
“I feel like I just lost one of my best friends,” another commented.
Over the past nine thrilling years on YouTube, I’ve had the pleasure of contributing 417 videos to the platform, several of which have resonated strongly with viewers, garnering millions of views each.
