Brawadis, a YouTube personality, admits that he’s suffered significant financial losses because he used an unlicensed track by the American rap artist Fetty Wap as the introduction for his previous videos.
Brawadis is a highly recognized YouTube personality with more than six million followers who’s been active on the platform since 2015. He gained fame for his videos that feature trying various types of fast food, luxury experiences, and similar content, as well as playing pranks on his friends and relatives.
For quite some time now, he had utilized an distinctive opening featuring his name displayed prominently and moving across the screen, all while Fetty Wap’s ‘679’ track played as a backdrop.
Although he no longer uses that specific introduction, a significant number of his most popular videos were made when he had it – and it ended up causing him substantial losses.
Brawadis loses millions of dollars over Fetty Wap intro
During a heartfelt livestream in July 2025, Brawadis shared with his audience that he had been making significant payments totaling millions of dollars to Fetty Wap’s record label. This was due to an earlier decision he made to incorporate the song ‘679’ into his intro music.
He exclaimed, “I handed over countless millions, my friend, for that label,” he said. “My house cost 3.5 million dollars. That means I could’ve purchased three of them, my friend. It’s quite astonishing.
Later on, he displayed the statistics from his YouTube channel, revealing that certain highly-watched videos were copyrighted and monetization-restricted. On further examination, it was found that not all these videos featured his previous introduction.
He went on to say, “I wasn’t compensated when Devin Booker visited my home. Notice all these notices about copyright, copyright. Look at the view counts – five million, six million… all of my most-watched videos, I don’t earn a single penny from them, due to that introduction.

Bradwadis demonstrated that several of his non-copystriked viral uploads were generating significant income, with one reaching $68,000 alone. In total, it’s not surprising that he may have missed out on substantial sums of money – a staggering amount – due to his old introduction.
On the other hand, some users question whether Brawadis genuinely didn’t know about this financial loss. One user even expressed their skepticism on Reddit: “It seems like these situations are often portrayed as if they weren’t aware of copyright. But hey, you’re a ‘professional’ content creator, at the very least, you should be aware of the laws that regulate your profession.
Apparently, this person had NBA stars visiting his home, yet failed to secure the copyright for the music used consistently in all his videos. Some find it hard to believe he didn’t think of that first.
It’s not just Brawadis who is experiencing significant financial losses; even YouTube’s most popular figure, MrBeast, has publicly acknowledged losing “tens of millions of dollars” while producing his Amazon Prime series, Beast Games.
