YouTuber is on a journey to play almost every video game ever made

As a fellow video game enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the pixelated worlds of digital entertainment, I find myself deeply inspired by Jeff Wires, or Chronologically Gaming, as he navigates his extraordinary journey through gaming history. His resilience in the face of tragedy and his unwavering dedication to his passion is truly commendable.

Following the unfortunate incident that led to the loss of his video game collection, YouTube personality Jeff Wires managed to restore every title via digital replication. From now on, his sole aim is…

YouTube user Jeff Wires, who goes by ‘Chronologically Gaming’ on the platform, is currently working his way through a vast number of video games.

From 1971, wires embarked on a journey that included playing a significant portion of ’70s console, arcade, computer, and portable games. With the aid of emulation, this goal has now been achieved.

In his YouTube profile, he outlines his ambitious goal: “I’m attempting a feat that’s never been accomplished. I plan to play every single video game in the order they were first released,” he expresses.

“Every weekday at 9 pm Central Time, I host a live show on YouTube where guests can join in to play games remotely. We started back in 1971, and so far we’ve played every video game from the ’70s – consoles, handhelds, computers, and arcade games. Now we’re moving into the ’80s!

Despite being a gaming expert, there are limitations, given that one particular game offers at least 28,000 distinct versions.

Among the games he’s not going to engage with are those labeled as adult-exclusive, Mahjong, Shogi, mainframe computer games, games involving gambling or casinos, trivia quizzes, demonstrations, all compilations, prototypes, hacks, or unauthorized copies. Additionally, he’ll avoid any game without a microprocessor, every Commodore 64 title, and any computer-based video game.

During a talk about the origins of his passion, Wires shared that he was an avid collector. Unfortunately, he experienced a terrible event that led to him losing his entire physical collection.

Consequently, since he could no longer accumulate physical items excessively, the YouTuber admitted that he had developed a tendency to amass digital content instead.

Currently, Wires has been developing video games since November 1982. Beyond his popular YouTube channel, this gaming aficionado additionally broadcasts live on Twitch, enabling spectators to comment and evaluate his gameplay.

Similar to a popular YouTuber, streamers such as Twitch’s Kai Cenat frequently broadcast themselves playing video games. Interestingly, he is recognized for donning costumes and customizing his bedroom to align with the specific game being streamed.
